I love unique homes and the one I just listed yesterday has to be one of the most unique ones ever! Not only is this home unique, but it’s full of Old World Charm. With the Art Deco decor, you actually feel like you’re smack dab in the middle of Gatsby-Ville. Not only that, but the house has a kinda cool history….apparently the woman who had it built back in the 50′s was single (but apparently quite capable 
, and at one time owned the acreage behind the lot. What a big place for a single babe!
Spanning nearly an acre, the house isn’t the only thing worth exploring. The current owners of 10-years told me the place was in shambles when they first happened upon it….after lots of blood, sweat, tears and years, they’ve managed to restore much of what I am sure is the original look and feel of the home. Anyway, the pool has been restored and is just lovely, waterfall and all. There’s a covered patio behind the pool, which is kind of a cool, guys-get-away hang out, and did I mention the extra building? Because the sellers are BIG TIME music lovers and musicians, they’ve got this enormous recording and playing studio…you know the kind, with that foam stuff on the walls (reminds me of the padded room I threaten to place myself in . There’s even a bathroom in the recording studio with a really cool original floor, but um, the rest of it needs to be redone. This would make an amazing guest house or little apartment.
There’s also a backyard with lots of fruit trees and even a refrigerated room–but I won’t get into that. There’s two detached garages in the back and plenty of room to park and party, should that be the goal. However, it’s important to point out that this large lot has had many developers drooling over the years. Why? Because it’s actually (on paper) already split for five parcels…yummy! I kinda hope someone with the same vision as my sellers buys this estate and finishes off the restoration, but if investors are interested, we won’t discriminate here’s some photos:
